SCAM!! No part time job here!
Unknown, Minnesota
So I'm going through the classifieds on line, to look for a real part time job. I find this ad for a personal assistant on backpage.com saying 300 dollars a week to be this persons assistant. I had sent him my resume when i first responded to the ad, he responded back saying he is going to send me a money order. I would take my fee off top, and the rest I would western union to a lady in a different state who my so called boss is buying furniture and electronics from. I thought this is too good to be true. So i decided to look up this persons name and email address to see if it was linked to any scams, and he wasn't . So everything seemed legit. He sends me another email giving me the fedex website with the tracking number so i can track the letter. When i got on the fedex website, the letter had been sent out, and was picked up in Minnesota, and the status said that is was undeliverable. So i decided to call the fedex 800 number to find out what was going on. They informed me that security was holding onto it, because it was a fraudulent letter. Evidently what these scammers do is send fake money orders to people, have them cash it at their bank, then you're supposed to take the promised weekly payment off the top and send the rest of the money somewhere else to no doubt a fake company After a couple of days your bank will realize it was a fake money order if they don't catch it while you are trying to cash it, and the only person responsible for that money, is you, cause your name is on it. Thank God for the fedex ladies! They have saved me from being involved in a scam..
