Publish America

I wrote three (3) childrens' books and I came across Publish America. I submitted my three (3) manuscripts. Publish America claimed my manuscripts were marketable and sent me three (3) contracts. Publish America is a self publishing company.

After dealing with PublishAmerica for over one year. I came to believe Publish America does shoddy work. I believe manuscripts must just sit on shelves or floors and they don't do any proofreading or any changes. All proofreading and changes to your manuscripts needs to be done by the author. I believe the manuscripts just sit there until the time they claim the manuscript is getting made into a book to look like Publish America is busy and they are working on your manuscript to turn it into a book.

My three (3) childrens' books are a series. Why is it the second book, "The Wonder of You" has not come out as of yet, however, Publish America made the third book by totally skipping over the second book and publishing the third book in the series prior to the second book in the series, "The Wonder of Us". Upon opening the book I found out that the information on the back cover was wrong, however, it was correct in the first book, "The Wonder of Me". I also noticed there was a apostrophe errors and the illustrations did not correspond properly with the story. A blind demented circus monkey could figure all of that and would of been embarrassed to even publish the book, "The Wonder of Us". I am embarrassed to have my name associated with that book.

I will not promote any of my books.

I totally believe they will publish anyone's manuscripts just for a fast buck.

Please do not send your manuscripts to Publish America nor sign any contracts with Publish America. The contract after signing is for seven (7) years.

I can only imagine what my second book in the children book series will look like, 'The Wonder of You". This is all messed up. How can it make sense publishing a third book in a series prior to the second book in the series. It is totally unprofessional.

What Publish America does when dealing multiple books is every book has six (6) months in between each book. The third book, "The Wonder of Us" came out in June 2010 so I guess the second book, "The Wonder of You" will be available December 2010.

I am so upset, frustrated, disgusted, angry that I won't promote any of my books. I will wait out my seven (7) year contract and then submit my book to real, professional, famous publishing companies.

I will then do what I had planned for my books in six (6) more years.
