On Line Dating Scam Using Army Men Picture

i just started to use Match.com to meet men. I was contacted by this man named Carlos we said he was in the Army in Afganistan. After communicating with him for 2-months he began to ask for large sums of money, which i did not give him. He said he needed it to get his money and that he would pay it back. He stated he was a widowder, had a 17 year old daughter. The sad part of this is he was using a real soldiers pictures. Some on who is fighting for our country. Please beware of these scams. If they sound to good to be true they are.

IT'S QUITE UNFORTUNATE THAT HE WAS POSTED TO THIS SITE AS A SCAMMER BUT I AM SAYING IT WITH 100% ASSURANCE THAT HE IS NOT A SCAMMER. I WILL TELL HIS DAUGHTER ABOUT THIS AND ASK HER DAD TO STOP ONLINE OR INTERNET DATING. FOR ANYONE THAT IS READING THIS TO BE SURE OF WHAT I AM SAYING, I AM HIS DAUGHTER'S TUTOR AND GUARDIAN. I HOPE THIS SITE SHOULD DO A PROPER INVESTIGATION BEFORE CONCLUDING AND POSING SOMEONE AS A SCAMMER.

Unfortunately these scams are not new and have been around for years. They are called "sweetheart scams" (Google it for more guys). MOST of these guys are from Nigeria, but say they are from the US doing business overseas. They fall instantly in love with you and then start asking for money. They usually say they are widowers and have a kid. And yes, they troll the dating sites and pay for memberships. Best to only date/meet local people and don't buy into the stories that they are overseas on business. And NEVER send them money!!

I was also contacted via a dating site with Carlos Amando. I was corresponding with him for some months but have not heard from him since August 2010. I have been very worried about him, and am very upset to hear about this scam. If he was genuine, I would very much like to know that he is OK. Perhaps Missy, you could reassure me about his welfare, assuming that he is in fact a genuine person and this is not a scam. I should add that I was never asked to send him any money and would be very upset to find that his was all a scam.

Pls take him out here , he is not scammer , hes just an innocent person , i mean the pic of the u.s Army soldier , who know him , i need to talk with him , cantact me , if u know him , i have find his pic again in 123 people , his pic is also in Asia .com , too bad the one doing that is still useing his pic , pls contact me if u know him , i really need to talk with him . thank u
