We purchased a Ragdoll Male kitten from the Ragmiester in 2003. The kitten was only 7 weeks old which I have found out since is much too young to be taken from it's mother. This cat was not socialized correctly and in turn is standoffish, mean, bites me in the middle of the night, does not like strangers, does not like being touched, or held. He corners us at the end of the hall and sometimes attacks us. We have always treated him nicely we have never done anything to him, he has no reason for acting the way he does. Many times he has escaped out the door and, he is an indoor cat. He licks himself constantly, has hair balls, and vomits daily. He has been to the vet several times and we have tried to get to the bottom of his digestive problems, nothing works. I think he is obsessive about licking, therefore clogging up his digestive system and the food can't pass the hair balls so he vomits.
We purchased another Ragdoll from a different cattery and the cats are like night and day, she is what I would expect a Ragdoll to be like, she stayed with her mother for 14 weeks before we purchased her, she is fun, loving and sweet, she loves everyone and has had one hair ball in her 2, 1/2 years of life, she never has vomited, she does not attack and bite.

I called the Ragmiseter when our cat was a year old to complain, he blamed us for our cats behavior, he avoided my calls. He was rude. He should not be breeding cats. Avoid this breeder. we have decided to keep our crazy cat because he has a routine and it seems cruel to get rid of him but he is a horrible pet!!!
