Arizona Load Modification DBA

Dec 16,010 Greg Mortenson at Arizona Loan Modification came to my home and told my wife and I that he could lower our mortgage payments by 50 to 60%. Being a disable Vietnam Veteran I said great. He said he needed 250.00 to get the ball rolling. I ask he way is he wanted to help me. He's words were. I AM HELPING YOU BECAUSE ARE A VIETNAM VETERAN AND YOU ARE DISABLE. So my wife wrote him a check for 250.00. All our money we had in our saving account. He said he would go back to his office and do a contract, and would see us between Christmas and New Year. On Dec 17,2010 at 11:00 P.M. a knock came to my door. I open and Greg Mortenson was standing there. He came in and had a contract in his hand . We looked at it and saw a lot of wrong info. He said he would take it back to his office and correct the mistakes and mail it to us on Monday Dec 20.2010 and we are to keep 1 copy and sign the other and mail it back to his office asap.Then he said he needed 750.00 more to proceed on lowering our mortgage. We told him that we didn't have any more money. He kept on and on. Then my wife said let's cancel. Greg Mortenson said just sign these papers and I said. What is this? He said with us signing the papers shows his company he was at our home. I said this is not a contract and he said that we was not signing a contract. He said the contract would be corrected and mail to us to sign and keep one copy and mail the other copy to his office asap. at that time he said I need some money because he left his wallet at home and he has not had any thing to eat all day and he needed gas money to get home. He was almost crying so I had 50.00 for gas to get to my doctors appointment and I gave it to him and he sign a paper showing I gave him 50.00 cash. As soon as Greg Mortenson left my wife said I think we got scammed. I said the same thing. So I said will we didn't sign the contract because he has to correct it and mail it to us on Monday Dec 20,2010. and we wont sign and I will tell him we want to cancel and return our 300.00 So on Tuesday we haven't received the contract. So I called Greg and told him that we wanted to cancel and return our 300.00. He said he would be up next Sunday or Monday for sure and would give us back our 300.00. and cancel our contract. Monday came and want . No calls or anything. I started calling Greg's cell phone. He new my number so he wouldn't answer so I used my cell phone and he answered on the 2nd ring. He said to call him on Wednesday and get this taken care of. I was a little upset because I canceled doctors appointment on Monday. I said ok. On Wednesday I tried to call Greg and there was no answer. after 12 calls he finely call me back and he said in his words. I DON'T HAVE TO PAY YOU BACK FOR A YEAR AND I ONLY HAVE TO PAY YOU HALF OF 300.00. He said to me. READ YOUR CONTRACT IT STATE THAT.I told him that we never got a contract. It never came in the mail. So this company has all my personal info {ADL,SSN# HOUSE PAPERS AND ETC}
