Products You Can Make At Home
Groton, New York, 13073
Site offers payment for making products at home which you then send back to them for payment. You must put down a $55.00 deposit for a "kit" which they send to you. After completion you are supposed to receive payment for the completed products, postage and reimbursement of your kit deposit. I waited 3 weeks after my credit card was billed for the kit deposit until contacting the company because I hadn't received the kit. It was supposed to be shipped in 1 - 5 days. They claimed shipment was delayed because of printer problems and it was supposed to be going out "tomorrow". I wanted to cancel because of the long shipping delay and was told if I canceled I would only receive half of my deposit because this was their "service charge." I told them that this was illegal and I was going to dispute this payment with my credit card company. Her answer was, "Well, then you and I have nothing more to say to each other," and hung up on me. Does this sound like a legitimate company to you?
My dispute is in the resolution stage and I will not know the outcome for 45 days. "Buyer Beware!"
