Walter Palmer

Walter Palmer & his wife own more than 500 acres in northern Minnesota. The neighbors say the dentist doesn't get along with those bordering his land. Walter Palmer & his wife Tonette Palmer went so far as to file a civil lawsuit against his neighbors. The lawsuit claimed those neighbors were infringing on the Palmers property rights. Walter has also equipped his vast acreage with surveillance cameras and is quick to call the authorities if anyone steps onto his property.

The neighbors also question Palmers deer hunting tactics. Multiple people say he pays for someone to drive up and down this gravel road herding the animals back onto his land. Those who have been inside his house say it's full of exotic and local head trophies.

A former employee described the atmosphere at the dental clinic as creepy and oppressive. Walter Palmer liked everything to be very quiet & would complain if he heard anyone laughing or making any noise. The former employee described Walter Palmer as arrogant and said he had animal heads in his private office.

A female employee accused Walter Palmer of sexual harassment and said “she was subjected to ongoing and unwelcome sexual harassment by Palmer. Ultimately the case was settled out of court. Palmer paid $127,500 to his accuser and he was ordered to complete a jurisprudence exam and ethics course.

Both Walter Palmer & his wife Tonette have been cited multiple times for traffic related offenses. Although not a huge issue – it’s just another example of the Palmers lack of regard for the law.

Walter Palmers criminal record also includes a felony conviction in 2008 for making a false statement to federal agents. Palmer pleaded guilty to the charge in 2008 after admitting that he lied about where in Wisconsin he killed a bear in 2006. The bear was killed outside the area where hunting is allowed. Realizing what he had done, Walter Palmer and his hunting group group agreed that "if any authorities were to ask where the bear had been killed, they would say" it was hunted within the correct area.

The daughter of Walter & Tonette, Natalie Palmer Botes 27, is married to a man who the same age as her parents. Paul Anton Botes is 55 - and this is his 5th marriage. Natalie Palmer Botes & her husband are both dance teachers. Coincidentally, Walter Palmers 55 year old son-in-law, Paul Anton Botes, is from..... South Africa where he served in the South African military.

Tonette Palmer was formerly the Vice President of a family run import export company. I wonder if they dealt in African wildlife carcass.
