us soldier on Facebook

Napa, California, 94558

Contacted me on Facebook using the name Walter Bruston and posted a picture of a US Army soldier and asked to be friends. Three months of telling me how much he loves me and wanting to marry me, asks for a total of $9000. Stated he was stationed in Nigeria and wanted to retire early to marry me. Said he had to pay them this amount of money to retire early and could I send this to them. He used the name of Frank Aludayo and Hammed O.Smith as agents.

Glad you posted!
These people.... turns my stomach.

FYI, I'm very familiar with the military. They do NOT charge for early 'retirement'....Its 'illegal'. I won't say more about that, as I don't want to give these scammers any info that could help them. Just wanted you to know that.

Sounds like you got out without damage... good for you!

Warrior I - Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated. I'm afraid I did not escape the broken heart. I hear the words of love echoing in my mind still and my head bows and I weep. I mourn the loss of the expectancy of love and happiness and the soldier, whose picture I have not been able to remove from my desk. A man whose name and whereabouts is now unknown. My heart and my soul are much more fragile than money. I would rather have just lost my money than have to feel the despair and heartache I feel now.
