Charming, good looking guy- Oil contractor working in Malaysia. He states he was born and raised in France and Spain. Has lived in the US for 11 years. States he is widowed 5 years and 11 year son living with grandmother in France. He supposedly lives in Duluth Minnesota. Has been working in Malaysia for 5 months and coming home on 5/20/11. He contacted me on match.com and quickly wanted to switch over to yahoo mail address listed above.
Proclaimed his undying love for me and that I was the only one for him. . . Blah, blah, blah.
I have to admit, I did fall for his charm, and was already to meet him in Sacramento on one his layovers, but after telling my son about, it raised alot of red flags with him, and when he researched it on the internet (oil contractor/malaysia/internet dating scams) he showed me numerous women who have been conned out of lots of money and had their hearts broken by these scam artists. They use someone else's picture that they steal off the internet sites, and then go to work looking for vulnerable women on dating sites, like myself.
Anyway, I would have figured it out once he asked me for money, but thanks to my son, I was able to ask "Steven" specific questions that he should have been able to answer but couldn't, and finally figured out that my prince charming wasn't so charming. I'm really pissed off and if this can expose him for what he really is, and save another woman from falling into his trap, that would be great.
