Beware of Breeder Warning

It is with regrets that I feel I must write this BEWARE of BREEDER
warning. I have written several times to this particular breeder for
resolution on this issue, and I received many replies and promises of
payment that were not followed through on. I no longer have any
confidence that this breeder has any honorable intentions or sense of
responsibility towards this issue and feel that I must make other
breeders aware in hopes that I may save others from the same
financial distress that this breeder has caused me.
Dawn from Pendraig Siberians purchased a proven female breeder from
me with a contract in AUG 07.
She paid a deposit of 200 and shipping costs.
I told her she could have a litter of kittens and then finish paying
me for the breeder female.
She had a litter of kittens and sold all kittens barring one which
she has decided to keep. She also had a litter of kittens from
another female and sold all. I inquired last April when she thought
she'd be sending additional funds or the balance and rec'd empty
promises.


I have tried several times to resolve this issue.
When I inquired as to taking a female kitten in lieu of payment I was
told none were breeder quality. After kittens were sold I inquired
regarding payment (in April) and was told that a buyer (a single
buyer) backed out and she had to refund the money so she could not
pay me. I was also told because of "food" and vet expenses for the
cats she did not have any money for me. And this is after she got a
kitten from another breeder thereby adding to her food costs.
In May I was also told that she needed the money for groceries and
medicine. I understand that she has had illness and everybody has to
eat but my daughter also was very ill for the last year (she's fine
now THANK GOD!) and she never once offered to make things easier or
send even 25 dollars …..so I refuse to feel guilty that she needs to
take any type of medicine or buy groceries. I have kids to feed also.
She has never once written regarding this without prompting from me,
or even tried to make payment arrangements. She has made no effort
to even kept me in the loop in any way regarding this issue. Now
she is making known on the internet her intent to retire the breeder
sold to her next year and use the female kitten she kept to breed.
(One of the ones that were not breeder quality I guess….)
What really takes the cake is that I recently found out, by accident,
that another breeder loaned Dawn the money to purchase my cat, IN
FULL, and she never gave it to me OR back to the breeder that loaned
it to her. I recieved a very nasty email from Dawn regarding this
side issue asking who else I have been talking to about her. When I
replied very patiently, I got a completely different letter back on
May 15 admitting poor decisions on her part, requesting me to keep
our arrangement private, and even promising paymnts that would have
a post date of May 16. As of this date, I have received NOTHING
since then regarding any type of payment or even telling me her
plans, when such payments might occur, nothing.
I know she has put inquiries out regarding getting breeder
kittens….Her weapon is that nobody knows how she operates. I want to

take her weapon away and prevent other breeders from getting stung by
her.
PLEASE make sure you get CASH up front for any kittens you sell to
this breeder should you decide to have any dealings with her.
I have my husbands lawyer that I could use but I am still debating
whether I want to spend what she owes me in lawyer fees or not. I am
leaning towards a big fat YES….
The very sad part is…..I would have been happy if she would have just

COMMUNICATED with me regarding setting up a payment plan, timing, and
then followed through with even ONE of her promises.
Use EXTREME caution in your dealings with this breeder.
