so I met this guy from "ct" but I actually think he always lived in Accra, Africa. He had a well thought out plan to scam me. Woo'd me for 2 weeks with online chatting, phone calls, professing his "love" which is strange because that started after only a few days. Sent me 18 beautiful roses. Claimed he was a gold merchant. After 2 weeks, he claimed he had to go to Accra to do a business deal for his "client" who wanted to buy 20 kilos of gold. Since he was there, we should get some gold so that when he comes home we can make more money off of the gold when we sell it or we could even keep it in the bank so that it would increase in value over the years. Well, he never mentioned my giving him money until that fateful day. As soon as he started talking about that, bells went off in my head so of coure I didn't give him a dime. Believe it or not, he is still trying to call me and has emailed me too still professing his love to me. Well, I googled parts of one of his letters and lo and behold, his exact words came up all over the internet under "romance scams." I put the severity of the scam as a 7 only because he didn't get any money out of me. I want to apologize in advance to the gentlemen whose photos were used by the scammer :(
