I received a letter from the customer compensation center stating that I had won 50,000.00 through a sweepstakes from staples, bj's, American express, costco's, etc. And from using one of those cards your card is automatically entered in a sweepstakes and 1.11million dollars was divided among 20 winners. With the letter I received a check to be deposited in the amount of 3,550.00 and from the check proceeds I was to send 2,400.00 for fed. Taxes, and 800.00 for city and state taxes. Consequently the bank made the monies available and afterwards "somehow" a stop was put on the check and I'm now responsible to repay the monies to the bank!
