This man is very brazen. When I called the police to complain on him, he called them right back, using a non traceable cell phone of course, to complain about me. He sends empty boxes as shipment upon delivery of one half the price of an exocitc camera costing thousands of dollars. The padkgae is shipped parcel post, and of coursae never arrives. You hae to sue him to get your money back. Which you can do but it is a real hassel. I am doing it just for the principle. If I can locate him. I have read other posts on cragislist of people who have also been ripped of by Mr. Bachert. Lets share out information. You can email me a t patrick henry @;gmail.com. So far the local authoritiesa, FTC, FBI, and California CATCH teamsa are involved. Any information you can provide would be held in conficence. The reward is substantial for information leading toth e arrest and conviction of Mr. Bachert for mail fraud, simple fraud, criminal fraud, civil fraud in the inducement, theft, using the US Mail for conduct illegal business, false advertising over the internet, are a few of the focus pointsa of Mr. Bachert. Whatever you do don't buy ANYTHING FROM THIS GUY that is not in front of you and you are not allowed to walk away with free and clear. Also try to get a look at his driver's license and post a description of him here if you have one. A photo would be best.

He has gone under cover again because he just had a successfuil (or so the thinks) scam on the west coast. Like most of thesa thing he will get caught. But let's limit the number of people and how much of our hard earned money he takes us for first.

This message is wrong and is slander. I recently purchased a surround sound system last week from this one Martin Bachert in Ballwin MO. He shipped to me as asked, and I even paid him fully upfront. Nothing went wrong with the transaction. He told me about a camera trisection that went south because of false information and this post. I am posting here to settle this for him, not only did he work on me with the price of this hi end surround system. But also transferred the warranty information for me. I still keep in touch with him now, because he is helping me with the set up from over half the country away. I hate when people will use one bad instance to ruin a persons intent to sell online. I completely agree with anonymous 44. Martin contacted me today regarding this post. I assured him that I would help out anyway that I can. Martin sold me a 4 thousand dollar mac pro system. This was over 2 months ago. He lives in the midwest, and I am located in seattle. We did a half now half upon delivery transaction. Everything was exactly done to a perfection. Not only did he ship how it was promised, but he has been in constant contact with me with other possible sales. I agree also with "A44" that this remark from this person is ridiculous. If he was so correct then why not name specifics and post your name. Seems incredibly wrong that he has two different types of emails in one post as well. I agree this is slander and horrible for Martin. Use this reference as a positive for this seller, not a negative. I was contacted by Martin earlier this afternoon about this postage. About 3 months ago I purchased a video recorder from him. He is located in missouri, and I am located in chicago. We spoke on the phone for about 30 min. Gave me all of his persona information and trusted me with it. Because of course I was very skeptical. I paid him in full before shipping (we both did not want to use pay pal or escrow bc of the fees). He shipped accordingly and arrived perfectly. Now what I must say about Martin is his communication was above and beyond nice. About a week after I got the recorder we didn't really talk. There was no need to. However he called me just to make sure that everything was still working great and to make sure I was happy with it. Then on top of that I am purchased a used mac computer from him last week (since I have done this before with him) again, everything went perfectly. Do not pay attention to this thread once so ever. This is ridiculous. When I talked to Martin this afternoon he even forwarded emails from this so-called "i have been scammed" loser. This guy is basically trying to scam Martin and threatening him. Again, martin is a great guy, and is a good seller. It is truly a shame when people use online sources to try and ruin things. Also, and I will add this. My husband is an FBI agent for internet fraud, Martin is not in the data base at all, and that is also a lie in the first post. This guy has some serious issues when it comes to lying. By this guy, I mean the original poster for this "warning". Don't pay attention to anything but the positives that you have on here. I will have his back no matter what is posted. He is a great seller, and is a great communicator. So I hope whomever reads all of these good things, realizes it was in poor manner for "anonymous" to post anything. Thank you for your time.
I cannot believe that Martin is actually so stupid. Does he think we were all born yesterday? or are neophytes when it comes to buying on line. It is the old stock market strategy... drive the market by creating a false demand. Each of the previous three "responses" are from the same person, probably Bachert himself. All three gmail accounts were created on the same day. One of them, "quintin" actually sent my collegue an email pretending to be yet someone else, yet foolish enough to use the same email address as Nick.... get the picture. Just do your own due diligence before entering into any purchase agreement from this scumbag. He is just not honest.
My name is Patrick Henry. My email address was used in the first post. I have received at least a half dozen emails from people offering to assist me in tracking down the scammer from the initial post. I don't know if he did or did not scam other people. What I do know is that the information in the first post is completely wrong, because that has been my email address since the first few months of gmail's existance, and I was not personally scammed by Martin.

I have contacted this site several times to have my email address removed, but there has been no response.

I was just another victim of this person, though he went under the name of Marion Bachert. I have email addresses with Bank account numbers for the transfer, a phone number to another individuals phone, the box which has his name on it. The police told me it was a civil matter. I spoke with BofA and they told me I needed to speak with a local DA. I am in Brooklyn. This person needs to be stopped, if there is anyway I can offer assistance, please let me know. I don't know who Ryan is, but I have spoken with 'anonymous' and am informed that the basis for the original complaint noted here is being worked out between the two of them, and that is what this site is for according to its owners. Their explanation of the site is that if and when the original complainer is satisfied he or she can add a comment saying so.

In my email communication with the person who posted as "anonymous" I am informed that the person who identified himself as Martin Bachert has explained that he was the victim of mail theft, and is working to fulfill his obligations to the purchaser, and from what I was told is even going beyond the original promise and is actually shipping a very nice lens at no additional fees to the purchaser.

Everyone can make a mistake or two. It is what we do when we have the opportunity to make things right that matters most. From all indications Mr. Bachert is doing just that. I will keep you posted as this matter is brought to a conclusion.
As I posted at the other location, I am "anonymous" who posted the original complaint against Marty Bachert. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I can say that Marty has returned my money in full and additionally gifted me with a very nice lens for my camera for my trouble.

If you have any concerns about Martin as a result of my earlier post or this one, you need not be on my account any longer.

There is much to be said for the old saying: "All's well that ends well." In our case everything ended well, even though along the way there were some bumps in the road.

As it turns out, it appears the camera that I was purchasing was stolen after I paid the down payment. After trying to chase it down, and not meeting with any success, Marty agreed to refund my money, which he has done. He was a "stand up guy" about the whole thing.
