MARTIN (MARTY) BACHERT

PHOTO EQUIP, MUSIC EQUIP, MEDIA CAMERAS

WILDWOOD, Missouri

PLEASE BE ALERT TO A CRAIGS LIST SCAMMER WHO SAYS HIS NAME IS MARTIN BACHERT. HE USES OTHER ALIASES AS WELL. HE IS A PRETTY BRAZEN PERSON WHO IT SEEMS HAS ACCESS TO A LOT OF INFORMATION PERTAINING TO HIS "NAME". WATCH OUT, HE EVEN HAS BANK ACCOUNTS UNDER THE NAME OF MARTIN BACHERT, REAL PROPERTY ADDRESSES UNDER THE NAME MARTIN OR MARTY BACHERT. HE COMES ACROSS AS LEGIT FROM MOST OF THE SURFACE CHECKS. HOWEVER DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS SLUGGARD. HE IS OPENLY DISHONEST. HE HAS EARNED A REPUTATION ON CRAIGSLIST ALREADY IN THE ST LOUIS AREA. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HIM UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO SAY GOOD BYE TO YOUR MONEY. HE WILL PROMISE YOU WHATEVER YOU ASK HIM TO. BUT IN THE END YOU WILL HAVE TO SUE HIM TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK. HE IS A CRIMINAL WHO NEEDS TO BE PROSECUTED AND GO TO JAIL. HE ABUSES THE POSTAL SYSTEM, AND APPARENTLY KNOWS IT PRETTY WELL. HE USES INFORMATION THAT IS REAL AND CHECKS OUT AS FAR AS ADDRESSES, BANK ACCOUNTS, RECEIPTS, ETC. BUT WATCH OUT! HE USES THE NAME MARTIN BACHERT BECAUSE THERE REALLY ARE MARTIN BACHERTS IN THE ST LOUIS AREA. HE USES THEIR ADDRESSES AS HIS OWN. YOU WILL NOT FIND A WORKING PHONE NUMBER THAT IS TRULY MR. BACHERT'S . HIS CELL NUMBER COMES UP "CATHOLIC CHARITIES" WHEN HE CALLS YOU, AND WHEN YOU CALL HIM YOU GET A RECORDING... NATURALLY. I

IF YOU ACTUALLY SPEAK WITH HIM HE WILL SMOOTH TALK YOU INTO BELIEVING HE IS JUST A REGULAR GUY WHO NEEDS CASH TO PAY OFF DEBTS SO HE CAN REFINANCE HIS HOME. HE WILL GIVE YOU AN ADDRESS THAT ACTUALLY BELONGS TO A MARTIN BACHERT.... ONLY NOT HIM.

HE USES ADDRESSES IN BALLWIN (BREEZEWOOD DRIVE AND PARKVIEW PLACE DRIVE) WILDWOOD, (BASSET ROAD) GROVER (WATERFRONT WAY) AMONG OTHERS.

MY ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO ENDS UP WITH THE NAME MARTIN BACHERT AS THE PERSON YOU ARE DOING BUSINESS WITH IS TO GET AS MUCH INFORMATION AS YOU CAN FROM HIM AND THEN CALL THE ST. LOUIS COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT.

IF YOU ARE READING THIS IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU HAVE GOOGLED HIS NAME. THIS IS A GOOD START.

THERE IS A WEB SITE UP NOW THAT WILL BE EXPOSING THE TACTICS OF THIS LOW LIFE SO YOU WILL BE AWARE OF WHAT TO LOOK FOR.

THERE ARE MARTIN BACHERTS IN THE ST LOUIS AREA WHO ARE NOT SCAMMERS. THEY ARE BUSINESS MEN AND REPUTABLE CITIZENS. BUT IF YOU SEE AN AD ON CRAIGSLIST OR ANYWHERE ELSE FOR ITEMS TO BE SOLD AND THE TRANSACTIONS TO BE DONE VIA MAIL OR FED EX OR UPS ETC. RUN THE OTHER WAY... AND CALL THE ST. LOUIS COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT.

THE WEBSITE IS CALLED "MARTINBACHERTSCAMMER.COM" LET'S SHUT THIS MENACE DOWN. DON'T GIVE HIM ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ... NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS. IF HE WANTS TO SELL YOU SOMETHING... MEET HIM IN A PUBLIC PLACE AND DON'T FALL FOR ALL OF THE LAME EXCUSES HE WILL GIVE YOU ABOUT WHY YOU HAVE TO "WIRE HIM MONEY" OR ANY SUCH THING.

HE THINKS HE IS REALLY SMART. HE ACTUALLY WILL LIKELY WRITE A RESPONSE TO THIS WARNING SAYING WHAT A GREAT GUY "MARTIN BACHERT" IS AND SO ON. GET WORKING PHONE NUMBER, CALL HIM, VERIFY WHO HE IS AND THEN CALL THE ST. LOUIS COUNTY POLICE AND GIVE THEM THE PHONE NUMBER. THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK WITH HIM ALSO. YOU CAN SEND ME ANY 'WORKING' PHONE NUMBERS YOU GET OR ANY INFORMATION HAVE AND WE WILL MAKE SURE IT GETS POSTED TO "MARTINBACHERTSCAMMER.COM"

BEWARE OF THIS 'CON ARTIST'. iF YOU DO A "BING" SEARCH OR "GOOGLE" SEARCH YOU WILL SEE THAT HE HAS BEEN FLAGGED ON CRAIGSLIST MULTIPLE TIMES, AND IS LISTED AS A SCAMMER ON "BING"

I was just the victim of this individual and he was going under the name Marion Bachert. Be highly advised, this is real, please help to stop this individual.
I don't know who Ryan is, but I have spoken with 'anonymous' and am informed that the basis for the original complaint noted here is being worked out between the two of them, and that is what this site is for according to its owners. Their explanation of the site is that if and when the original complainer is satisfied he or she can add a comment saying so.

In my email communication with the person who posted as "anonymous" I am informed that the person who identified himself as Martin Bachert has explained that he was the victim of mail theft, and is working to fulfill his obligations to the purchaser, and from what I was told is even going beyond the original promise and is actually shipping a very nice lens at no additional fees to the purchaser.

Everyone can make a mistake or two. It is what we do when we have the opportunity to make things right that matters most. From all indications Mr. Bachert is doing just that. I will keep you posted as this matter is brought to a conclusion.
Just got scammed by this guy today. Didn't Google his name until after he already had my money and screwed me over. Definitely stay away from him. You can check out my scam report here.

I would like to take back my previous posting. Both Marty and I jumped to conclusions after our dealings, and we have worked things out at this point. I thought I had been scammed but it ended up just being a misunderstanding. Marty has been great helping to clear everything up and rectify the situation. He is a great seller and I definitely recommend him. Sorry for any confusion.
I am the guy who posted the original complaint against "Marty Bachert." I am happy to report that our deal worked out after all. And while there were misunderstandings on both sides of the fence, Marty went out of his way to make me a "happy camper". He even went the extra mile by not only refunding my money in total, but he also sent me a real nice lens for my camera for my trouble.

As it turns out, it appears that the camera that I sent the down payment for was stolen AFTER I sent the money to Marty. We tried to track it down but after our attempts met with no success, Marty agreed to refund my money.

There is much to be said for the old saying, "All's well that ends well." In this case all ended well, and if you have been concerned about buying from Marty on my account, that should not any longer be the case.

A word to the wise, and this includes buyers and sellers: Don't engage in any transaction that involves the mail without making sure that "the package" is insured to its replacement value, and without making sure that a signature is required by the receiving party. A whole lot of headache and heartache, as well as financial loss will be prevented by doing this.

Thanks again Marty for being a "standup guy" and returning my money in full. And thanks for the great lens!

"Anonymous"... the first
