Using Dating Websites and pictures of Anette Dawn, a Danish/Hungarian soft-porn model, the scammer uses YahooMessenger, or LiveMessenger to chat, and develops a "loving relationship" with the reported purpose of marriage. The scammer poses as an beautiful but plaintive woman who is down on her luck following her husband abandoning her after emptying the bank account, her father dying suddenly in an automobile accident, and who is unable to find employment in a stunted economic climate.

She lives with her mother who has chronic renal failure, and her "uncle" who is the scam artist.

Soon after various economic and medical problems occur, which, elevate in urgency, she requests help in the form of money -- preferably Western Union, to her "uncle" who has the ID to obtain the funds. The scammer is very willing to spend hours on chat, to establish the rapport and sense of intimacy with the target. Incrementally asks for more money, to the point of requesting up to $12,500 to retrieve an out-of-country trust left her by her deceased Dad.
