He claims to have an inside source that lets you obtain high limit credit cards by simply paying a down payment then the rest on the back-end. Then, when the money has cleared, he no longer answers emails, nor takes phone calls from the phone number that turns out to be bogus.
I later contacted some others who had fallen victim to him on craigslist, so it appears he has been running this scam for a while!
