I advertised for a roommate in the local newspaper, callers were first interviewed on the phone then in person at my home. I talked to Lisa twice on the phone then she came to my home and we talked for 1/2 hour as she was telling me that she worked for the state of California, at a high security level, she worked for the congressmen, that she was going through a terrible divorce, her ex had abused her bla, bla bla...then "Oh by the way I have a teenage daughter that lives with me". She went on to say how wonderful it would be to get her daughter into the Coronado school system, that that was all she dreamed of. Well me being so soft hearted said alright, but asked her again if she could afford her share of the rent and that it had to be to me by the third of each month. "Oh yes she tells me". I did not do a credit nor an employment check. MY BIG MISTAKE. She has been here 3 months and I am losing my home that I have been in for 22 years, never being late with a payment until she moved in. She is not employed. Does not work. Collects unemployment.She has distroyed several personal possessions of mine and not replaced, miss used a cell phone I let her daughter use and created a $150.00 cost for me, caused my internet service to become voided and I had to change service, never has paid rent on time. Seeing that things were not working out here I asked her to leave, she went to the police and said that I was harassing her, that she felt threaten. She didn't bother to tell them all of the lies she had told to me and the damages she and her daughter caused to my home, and I get served with a temp. restraining order. I LIVE HERE. THIS IS MY HOME. Lisa Serrano has scammed me. She said she worked and could affored to live here. She and her daughter have left the oven on for hours with nothing in the oven, they have left the burners on on the gas stove, let the water run in the faucets for no reason. They both consume beverages and foods that I have and never think to replace them. This has been a nightmare for me and the worst part is that I have to move because of the financial burden she has caused for me. I am a 60 year old lady with a very limited income and soft heart.
