Marvin Sponaugle, Florida Detox

I was totally scammed by this Con Artist, his brother and their detox facility. I have also filed a complaint against Sponaugle with the Florida Board of Medicine, which is being investigated. This man, his brother and his protocol for detox is very dangerous. I was also put through the wellness program and followed it nearly to the T, All I got out of that was $15, 000 worth of testing that insurance paid little of, a cabinet full of supplements and other addictive medications, and a complete addiction to THEIR maintenance opiate, Subutex, which I was told to take, as if it was just an innocent medication. Eight months after my nightmare at Florida Detox, I had to be detoxed once again from the Subutex at Rapid Drug Detox in Michigan. RDD Center was an exceptionally wonderful facility and I left clean of Subutex, not reinfected like I was by Sponaugle. RDD Center is honest and they wouldn't think of allowing a patient to go through detox without speaking to the detox doctor and psychologist. I was not seen by a doctor upon arrival, nor before detox, at Sponaugle's House of Horrors.
To date, I am out over $40, 000 because I chose to believe what Florida Detox said on their website and telephone conferences. I was lied to, blackmailed, abused and had my medical records withheld from me, which is against the law. This doctor needs to be shut down and punished for his abuse. I would recommend NO OTHER DETOX FACILITY other than Rapid Drug Detox Center in Michigan, My story is nearly unbelievable, but it happened to me and can very easily happen to you, also. I DO NOT work for them, I merely have allowed my phone number to be given out to others who may not know where to turn for an HONEST detox. RDD Center allows patients to speak with others and they will give out countless names and phone numbers of their patients that have gone through their detox, Sponaugle doesn't want patients to share stories with each other. I still speak with many people today, over a year after my wonderful RDD Center experience, and warn them of the dangers in the DETOX INDUSTRY. Many of the people I speak with have gone through my exact experience by having to be detoxed again from the opiate, Subutex, which is given out in rehab centers, detox facilities and treatment centers like it is candy. Even though Sponaugle professes Christian Morals, it is just a ploy to drag in the desperate and hopeless to his web of deceit. A true wolf in sheep's clothing, Honest to God.
If you want to know who Dr. Phil REALLY advises for his own patients and audience members to use for Detox, go to his website and read the long list of Rehab Centers, Detox Centers, and other Facilities that Dr. Phil puts his trust in NOW, not years and years ago.. I have yet to find Florida Detox, AKA Sponaugle Wellness and Addiction Center in Palm Harbor, FL included on that list at the present time. You will also not find Florida Detox on the Better Business Bureau list, but RDD Center in Michigan is not afraid to be affiliated with it.
