Thomas & Woolven
Faked documentation & lies
Wimborne, DOR
We had a rather nasty experience with this accounting firm. In fact we attempted to report them to their governing body but it turns out they're "friends".
Thomas & Woolven was dis-honest in dealing with us even to the point of fraudulently creating documentation that did not previously exist, and forwarding emails from us to a third party who we were in a dispute with... those emails containing assurances that Thomas & Woolven were on their side and referring to us as "Eejits" for questioning false documents.
A meeting was held where an investment was discussed. The investor was investing money for shares and was not loaning money to the company. However, Thomas & Woolven then colluded with the investor to make out that the money invested was a loan... this would mean that the investor got their shares and their investment back. When challenged, Thomas & Woolven created a note on a word processor pertaining to a discussion that didn't happen. When asked to provide the digital copy they said it was destroyed in a flood. Their regulators did not do as we asked and get proof of the flood via insurance details, nor did they show how the hard-drives storing this accounting documentation were destroyed as they must legally be.
The firm flip-flopped on this being the case in the end and just said the original document was "lost" and so was re-typed.
After that, we intercepted an email being forwarded to the investor from the accountant which showed the accountants bias in their services, not only from promises of helping the investor over us and including our private correspondence with the accountant, but also insulting us in the same email.
This was a disgraceful act of fraud and dis-honesty from both the accounting firm, and indeed their regulators.
