Ascension Towing )loated on Lois Ave in Tampa) towed my vehicle off property where I live. They claimed it was error on their side after intimidating me to pay the 200.00 impound fee to get my car back. Had to involve the Board president (live in condominium) and he got them to tow the vehicle back to me but my point is how many other people has this company towed their vehicles ilegally just so they can "scam" someone out of 200.00. Oh and by the way, they claimed the vehicle was parked in a loading zone - I've lived here over 20 yrs and there is no loading zone parking spots. Of course, they did not get the 200.00 from me and they towed the vehicle back to me but how many other people have they scammed?. How can I get this investigated? I have reported them to Better Business Bureau and will go the media stations for an investigation but any thoughts on what else I can do to prevent the next soul to NOT fall prey to their scam??
