Stanley Murphy states that he is from Scotland and that he is a contractor working for Chevron, cleaning up oil spills. He is a nigerian scammer, trying to get women to fall in love with him and then send him money. He will tell you he is a widower and has a daughter in boarding school in Sctoland. He will tell you he just got a huge contract to claan oil riggs for Chevron but then he cant get the chemicals out of china and needs you to send money to China. Don't believe him, he is a liar.

This is completely true. My sister was recently "taken in" by Stanley. He approached her at a workout facility in northern Iliinois. Stanley was in town "on business" and then immediately told her his story about being from Scotland and being a widower, etc;...just as described in this post. Within 24 hours he was leaving the country for "China," where he was going to purchase oil dispersant chemicals, which never came through. The latest addition to his story is that he has purchased a major share of interest in a Nigerian oil well, and that he expects to become very wealthy as an outcome of the investment. Careful, ladies! This man is very bold with his e-mail statements of admiration and affection, and he will attempt to rob you blind. Don't be charmed by his exotic stories or accent...he's nothing short of a two-bit crook!
